want to get a cat back exhaust on my car. my cat is fine on my car, but a local place will put on a high flow magnaflow cat for 200. what i want to know, is would there be a big difference if i left the stock cat or got the magnaflow. Also will a cat back with no resonator, and a high flow muffler work a lot better too. I know these are probably noobie questions, but any input would be great.

I got a high flow cat, but a lot of people here will tell you that you don't need it. I figured since I was upgrading to 2.25" pipe, why leave the stock 2" cat on? seems like a waste of money to pay for bigger exhaust, but leave part of it stock size.

Well i wanted to get away with a cat back with a high flow muffler, but if that is going to add any horsepower, then i was going to wait and get the cat.

... you can get a magnaflow cat for like $50.00 on ebay. theres a company on there that does allot of magnaflow stuff. I got mine there warranty still in the box.
as I recall they are "powersellers"
