Ecotec for anyone trapping over 108mph

I know the new colbalts have the same ecotec motor as many j cars do now days. I heard that the Cobalt SS doesn't have a top speed limiter does this include the base model cobalt's too. Could you just get the reflash for the computer being that it would take the govener off and you wouldn't have to worry about it anymore in the 1/4? I know there are a few cars like Darkstars who said he was letting off so he didnt hit the fuel cut at 108 and many others. So could you just get the reflash from a Cobalt and be good to go.

Thanx Charles

No. I think rsmracing.com and jbodyperformance.com offer computer reflashing services. But it isn't cheap.

if you are hitting 108 mph in the traps you better be running high 12s...

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.

Well I could have sworn that Darkstars was running a 100 shot and coming close to 106-8 but backing off so he would hit the fuel cut. Maybe I am wrong which I probally am and I know not many people are trapping at those speeds but just throwing up ideas.

Thanx Charles

Quote:

ran a 100 wet shot for 4 runs humidity was very low temp was cool but not cold... first run spun and went up in smoke just cruised the rest of the way, second run pulled a 13.08 @ around 105-106 3rd run went up in smoke again pulled a 14.4 4th and final run ran a 13.12 again around 106.... I wanted to disable the governer and go back cause I was starting to let off right at the end to avoid hitting the governer

I hit the governor in the 1/4 about 30 or so feet before it and it dropped down 4-5 miles and still trapped 106.7 mph.
"""You better be running high 12's?""""" Says who??
How do you run high 12's when you get NO traction and only run a 13.9? lol

I see well I don't even have a ecotec I was just throwing the ideas out to see if it could help some people. I hope to be in the 13's next year but its not easy paying for insurance and 1/2 car payment every month and modding your car. Im going the turbo route wish me luck haha.

Thanx Charles
