I need info on this, I am trying to do the 2.3 HO swap and cant figure out what to do with the stupid EGR. If I put a blockoff plate on it will it hurt peformance, gas mileage or throw codes? ALso if I cant get a block off plate can I make my own, if so what material?

egr simulator = butt splice it into the map sensor wire instead of the way the company says. do a search on yahoo for ZZ performance. they have one.
I did a 1999 PCM reflash.

Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
it will set a code , unless you use the simulator , or do the 99 pcm swap
wont hurt performance
just bug you with the dam light
If you block the EGR off you’re going to get a code. But if you get the sim then you aren’t going to throw a code. Also for some reason I think that 89 octane works better then 87 when you remove the EGR (maybe its in my head) but it seemed to eliminate my stumbling during acceleration.
