my lil clamp on my intake slipped today and when i went to put it back onto the throttle body i noticed it was really black and dirty, i do plan to order the rsm 62mm throttle body here soon but would cleaning the stock one have any effect on it at all and if so what could i use to clean it?

If it's clean, the air will flow in more easily, but I don't know what you should use to clean it, maybe someone else know....

use some carb cleaner and then run some sea foam through your system... that'll help clean everything out.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
...yep, they sell the carb/tb cleaner in advanced auto, pep boys, even kmart/walmart...u can just spray it down the tb throat and wipe if with a rag, but the toothbrush idea sounds good...
..oh, and tim barker, i guarantee my 2.2 will outperform whatever j-body u drive.
