event may have some more to add to this, but my understanding of an enlarged throttle body without forced induction or serious mods just forces the air to move slower through the throttle body.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
some people have said they got 10 hp from a bigger TB.
59 mm is good for NA cars. 62 mm is the way to go for boost or nitrous
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
What is the size of the stock TB on the ecotec. and does anyone make one that I can just buy? as far as i know the only way i have heard is to bore out my stock one.
I have one true love in my life...And my girlfriend sits next to me in it
i beleive rsm racing makes one...

True. It will decrease the air velocity, which means you will lose torque. You will gain horsepower, but i doubt it will make up up for the torque. If you plan on nitrous, boost, or motor work, get it. If you are just doing bolt-ons, you dont need it.

boring your stock TB out i think is your best bet. its cheaper then what you pay for from RSM or any other place.

^^^^ it is i asked around at local shops around here and they said it would cost an hr of labor which is around $50 bu then you have to find a plate but that wont be any more than $50 max itsself
04 sunfire auto, mid 15's n/a, and still going
RSM makes a 62 MM throttle body and all it is just a bored out stock TB with a bigger plate. It might seem more expensive but its mostly a core your paying for.
If you want, you can do what I did and find it VERY cheap on the Classifieds area from someone who doesn't want it anymore.
The gains are good, acceleration is better and you get more of a pull in the mid-range. It's worth getting. As far as #s, I can't give you any. Only thing I can say is that there is a noticable difference.
Good Luck
