Map Low input CEL after HO

so after i put on my HO mani a code came up that said Map sensor low input....is this because i tapped into the MAP wires for the EGR simulator ( the directions said to tap into those wires)

i tried unplugging the EGR simulator and all that happened was my car died about 2 blocks down the road lol. im also running rich and have a rough idle, im thinking all problems are connecting to this one CEL

if tapping into those wires is the problem...how can i fix it?
run a stronger ground to the map sensor?
wire the EGR simulator up a different way?
what are the wires on the EGR simulator anyways? just a power and a ground?
has anyone else had this problem?

mine ran ok with with no egr

and no simulator , other than the CEL

the map code might be because of the egr sim , or maybe its where you have the map ine ran to for vacuum

check for vacuum leaks , and make sure you got all the vacuum lines hooked up right

there all hooked up where they are supposed to be as far as i know.the map sensor is going into the middle hole in the manifold right where its supposed to go. ill try taking the simulator off again and see if that helps

do you have to block off the EGR from behind as well? or just on the intake side?

if i unplug the EGR sensor my car starts up then the rpms drop right away and it dies. so i guess i have to leave that plugged in

so i have no idea how to fix this problem

u might have the EGR simulator hooked up wrong/ or on 2bar map sensor.

best bet is a 99 ecu
