Idea's for HO intake.
Thursday, May 12, 2005 5:54 PM
I have the HO IM installed and have this setup for an air intake. I want to route it lower for a little cooler air or just have a better setup. There really isn't much room, but Im sure there are some creative combos others have used. Hook it up. Well, I don't have a site to uploade my pic from so I can't really show you I guess. Me bad

you could relocate your battery and run a straight pipe over thats always a good idea. (sorry dont have a pic for that)

you could do what i did...

or if you have a manual, you could get a 45degree elbow and run a straight pipe down to the ground, with the tubing being inbetween the radiator and the motor itself.
kinda like this. the elbow is the silver thing coming off the throttle body. kinda hard to see.
these following pics came from qwik2k2z24's cardomain site.

I just thought I would show everyone what I'm going to use till I have to turbo it. Darn that is going to suck huh..... Don't ask what it is, but a friend gave it to me, and we are not sure what car it came off of. I put it over the 2.4 and looked down and it is going to be perfect.

TRD Cav Fire
that intake is going to hit your battery, its not going to fit, you have to run a 90 degree elbow off the TB, not that straigh coupler like you have.

OMG dude learn to trust someone that knows what he is doing. If you look at that intake that fist bend is a 90 deg bend. So why whould I need something eles to do the bend for me. I saw that the filter might get close due to that second bend, but if you push the battery forward then you will have no problems. Another key thing is that I can cut it as it is bending to not have such an angle on it., and another thing I'm soon to turbo the car and the battery will be in the trunk just like my girlfriends car because it was moved for the RSM S/C that was on it. Thank you, come again......

FYI this is my last post any other post will be on the Company Wink's acct or my girlfriends.
