hey guys what vehicles had the 2.3 ho and the w41. thanks i am going to the junk yard this weekend to get one of these engines. what else should i get. thanks abunch

walk through the junkyard and look at all the engines. That is what i do.

Ho - Gtz, GA, Calais (I series, 442 and normal), Achieva

W41- 91 Calais 442, Achieva Scx 92-93

All of them have to be 5spd otherwise it's not an Ho.

so if the car is a automatic it wont have the ho motor.

all the junk yards want around 1200 canadian for this engine

u can get one for less than that....i got my original HO WITH tranny for 400 usd

whats the differnce between the ho and w41

which cars had the 2.3 ho and the w41

only diff. in the engines, is the cams....

Stock 2.3 HO cams Specs
212 degrees @ .050" with .410" lift for the intake
212 degrees @ .050" with .410" lift for the exhaust

Stock 2.3 W41 cams Specs
218 degrees @ .050" with .410" lift for the intake
218 degrees @ .050" with .410" lift for the exhaust

180hp vs. 190hp (or in 93 175hp vs 185hp)

where is the computer located, and how difficult is it to remove it

under the dash on the passenger side. It's bolt on the door support, not the firewall. It's fairly easy. Take out the glove box and it's on the right side.
