ok I have the pacesetter header, high flow cat, 2.5" catback exhaust on my 1998 2.4L. I drove it for 2 days and the check engine light comes on, I took it to a shop and they told me I needed a new O2 sensor that goes in the header. So I replaced it with a Bosch O2 sensor and had the code cleared. I drove it for about 2 days and the CEL comes back on, so I have the shop see what was wrong and the scan tool said "bank 1 sensor2"the same as before with the factory O2 sensor. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks for any help that you can give me.
Second o2 sensor. Did you remember to put it back in.

Everything is hooked up and installed. I haven't replaced the 2nd,after the cat, O2 sensor yet because I think that it is reading to much flow. If I get a code for the 2nd one I will just get a simulator for it. I was told that "bank 1 sensor 2" is for the first one, is that correct or is that the code fo rmy 2nd O2?
You only have one bank of cylinders. So sensor two would be the sensor after sensor one. So Sensor 2 is the o2 sensor after the cat. All that sensor does is monitor the efficiency of the catalytic convertor.

I just called the shop and asked him which code it was and then he told me that is was throwing a heater circuit code, or something like that. So the guy made a mistake and all I need to do is either replace the after cat O2 sensor or get a simulator. Thanks for your help on this Sunfires rule! (Tom) I really appreciate it. Now I can go a drive my car YEAH.
