Anyone know much about the 2.5L v6 motor? And if it is a decent motor not? Let me know thanks.
Umm would that be the Ford Probe 2.5 V6? Or perhaps the Mazda 626 2.5 V6? Hope you don't mean in a J because GM never made a 2.5 V6. There is the 2.4 Inline 4 "Twin Cam" in the Z24's and some Fire GT's , or the 2.8 V6 as found in the first and phase one second gen Z24's....
Not sure what your talkin about.....(Not tryin to be an a**)
actuallt there were 2 2.5 L v6's used by GM
one was not a GM produced engine used in 2000 trackers LE8
the other was a 60* used in china LB8
that should say they were both used in 2000
check out Mantapart's 2.5L stroker motor... that might give you some ideas.

This one is out of a chevy Corisica I think. Unless the person who told me had the wrong car type. Cause I though the 2.5 was a for motor as well. Cause I knew chevy had the 2.8 and the 3.1 v6's but never knew of a 2.5 that's why I was asking
i thought you were talking about the duke for a sec.

Chevy did make a 2.5 it was inline 4 though....
96 All motor 5 Speed Z24, Best time 15.97@86MPH
2.5 L was also in the pre 92 grand ams as well as dodge shadow or plymouth duster, hope this helps
You guys think it might be something to check out? And possibly grab? or would it be a pain? Or waste of time.
it would be unique, don't know aboot aftermarket support though at least domestically
I'm not sure if I'm wanting to mess with it or not. may but I want something I can ahve some aftermarket support for. not this having to completely custom fab something up. I don't mind doing that but the r & d is a pain in the ass. it's kinda nice to be able to just buy something and throw it on with out having to figure out what or how to do it. haha
you would be going into small block parts if it's the 2.5 iron duke, 8:1 comp. gear drive, iron head. it does sound like a canidate for boost but out of the box they only put out like 95 hp.
