Anyone here built thier own intake mani? If it isnt too confusing I an thinking about doing this on my 2200. What I would plan on doing (if I do it) is using 4 90 degree mandrel bends to go straight up to the TB. The whole idea behind it is eliminating any uphill airflow which will help eliminate fuel puddling when spraying juice. Really I guess I am asking if there is any things that need to be known before I try doing this?

sounds like a good start. take the time to properly make a flange to build from, .750 thk aluminum flange and a .187 thk wall tube is what i'd recommend.
