i am turboing my 2.4 and rebuilding the bottom end totally and lowering the compression to 8:5:1 with custom pistons and rods and i got bigger injectors from an svo mustang (brown tops) but i think i am goin to need more fuel. before it was running really rich but what fuel pump should i got with if i get one and is the pump in the tank or not? are there any pumps from a different car that would fit? just wondering on all these things. i am spending $2500 on the bottom end rebuild and i dont want to short change my self anywhere. thanks.
the pump is in the tank almost all new cars are and i am replacing min enow with a stock one and gm made the unit pretty much unservicable in that the pump is incased in the assemble and the assemble is a sealed unit. it cost me 270.00 just for a new stock pump since it is the whole assemble(sending unit, float, tubing to the filter and other connections and wiring to reach the wire harness.
I am assuming you are having the comp reflashed and if so they should be able to adjust fuel injectors open durration, and if useing an adj fuel reg you can incress the pressure to match what brown tops use
but unless you go after market external tank pump i don't know how you will increase fuel to the regulator
the view is all the same unless your the lead dog.
you can get a walbro 190 or 255 inline pump for between 100 and 125 bucks.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
alrite. i am getting a afpr but i am not quite sure about all the fuel crap. so if i just get an inline external pump it will be good? i can prob hook on of those bad boys up i just need info on what all i should get.
