2.3 HO Adaptor Plates, Testing Waters, anyone?
Thursday, April 28, 2005 6:06 AM
I am having my intake port matched and the machineist asked if there was a large demand for these, I told him possibly and he said he could make an adaptor flange. I wasnt sure if it would be worth it, I have heard that exploited was going to make one but is slow in the making. What price was he charging by chance and whats a reasonable price people are willing to pay? Just wondering if I should have them made and help out the .org? Anyone interested?

I might be interested at some point in the future although $70US is more than I'd want to pay, you should also ask him about making phenolic spacers (1/2" or so) to keep the heat from the head out of the IM.

you have to drill out 2 of the bolt holes to use the 2.4 tb on the 2.3 intake

and use the 2.4 cable bracket

yeah I ordered my flange from exploited for 77 bucks to cover price and shipping and I haven't seen any sign of it yet. but I'm patient. Brian said he'd mail it. and that was last week. so we'll see how long it takes.

Same here.
$50 is a good price.
Besides that, just getting the product in less than a millions months would be worth it.

Can your machinist make a straight 2.4L 1/2" thick flange also?
Exploited sells theirs for about $45.

And yeah, I have money now for it so if you can get them made.

Careful though, don't wanna break the rules for selling stuff in this forum.

No, I am not selling anything, simply seeing if there is an interest. I will talk with him tomorrow and see how cheap he can get the prices. The flange everyone wants is 1/2 inch right, I will tell him that and we will go from there. Thanks for everyones interest! And believe me, if I get these things made they will be shipped out the day after payment.

As for the flanges, should I have them put a taper in it like exploiteds? I would assume yes so the HO intake should bolt right up. I would assume that it would still be a good idea to also port the manifold.

If you want, don't see why it would matter either way.

I'd just like a straight up 2.4L flange.
Well, could probably use the conversion style too.

Check your emails bud,
