I am having my 2.3 HO intake portmatched at my dads friends race shop and he asked if I wanted him to polish the insides or leave it rough. I assumed polished but another theory of thought is that the textured insides provide better mixing of fuel and air? This was told to me by a motorcyle engine builder and makes sence, but polishing it also makes sense for better flow. So my question is, should I have it polished or left rough?

on the 2.3, you can polish the inside of the manifold because the injectors are in the head. that theory is good if it's a carburated or TBI engine. The 2.2 manifold wouldn't be a good subject since the injectors are on the manifold.
If you really want to get the best gain, search for Extrude Hone. Really better than a P&P. It's a P&P but everywhere you can't get.

Okay, I am going to have them smoothed out then. This thing will be mint when I am done, only cost me total of 100 bux since I got it for free.
