For those of you that have the 2.4 engine i was looking around today and found that they are developing a header for our application. Does anyone have any idea on the release date?

Don't get too excited it will require running your car with no cat. It's supposed to be a long tube race header.

It *could* be because CARB approval is holding up the release on the 2.2 stuff. The 2.4 header won't be submitted to CARB.

im not sure how the eco header will be classified since its more of a replacement

i know they have asked questions about the 2.2's and the 2200's as well as i had chad post that they were looking for some 2.2 and 2200 test vehicles

and i was actually told the 2.4 header should be able to work with the cat also , but they were leaving that up to the person getting it

they used both mine and chads for testing of the 2.4 header

im still talking with them about doing a longer eco header , and have been ever since i picked up my g/fs cav from them

Why wouldn't a cat be able to be used.

Granted maybe the wire for the sensor may have to be extended.
But there is a lot of room under there to "back that cat up" if need be.

Just get the product out it all

By law cats are required to stay in the same location as OEM. While it's true you *may* be able to keep one, and most cops won't know, it won't be legal. Which prob isn't a prob for the 49 other states.
