I just had a weird idea of a carburated 2.2 would it be more "powerfull" since a carb can be adjused or something
btw it's just a questioni wont do this just wanna know and enrich my personnal knowing by this!
no
not worth it
unless you want crappy gas mileage
and plan on making your car a race car
which even then doesnt work
because even the drag cavs and such have injectors
Auto manufacturers stopped using carburetors back in the 80's for a reason - they suck.
Even the most basic EFI system puts the best carbs to shame - its just an overall better system. Carbs are expensive to buy/replace, fall out of adjustment, get bad fuel mileage, always have flat spots in the powerband, generally produce less power, and are much less efficient.
Just stick with SEFI, its a much better system overall.

if you want a carbed race car, build a SBC. small blocks are much more fun to tune with carb setups, which is also a reason my friends hate FI... and most of the time I do too. But no, it's not a good idea.
