Does the AEM kit hook straight up to the TB? the pics i see look like it connects to the stock tubing, and to me that doesn't seem lik it would help as much since the piping isn't bigger all the way through. any pics would be nice. thanx

awesome, thanx for the pic. the black tubing makes it look stock if u can't see the TB. i wanted the aem cause i know they are supposed to give the best gains on most cars
i had an AEM on my 04 for a while. its a good piece. i took it off because the bypass valve rubbed against the power steering resevoir, and here in FL i dont trust a CAI without one, since it rains very heavily in the summer. i replaced it with a K&N typhoon, which i am also very happy with. didnt really notice any power difference between the 2.

You have a problem of 8" deep puddles in FL?
The bypass valve is only there in case the filter end is partially or fully submerged in water. I would estimate it to be about 8" from the ground.. so unless you're going through some really deep puddles.. a bypass valve isn't really needed. Any rain water that happens to go in the filter evaporates by the time it hit's the throttlebody, and if for some reason it doesn't, a couple drops of water in the head aren't going to blow up your engine =P

ive got a ? ive searched and come up with nada, but ive got a 2.2 eco motor, and as far as intakes go, the only ones ive seen are always for the 2.2 SOHC motor. So do i have to get an intake for the 2.4? and how much would i have to modify it.
btw, yea, im a newbie, but ive got a lot of car experiance, but my knowledge is mostly in Honda
i was gonna get an AEM 4 my 04 fire but i don't have ABS...can i still use the CAI even though i don't have ABS?
another thing is there ne aftermarket tranny (auto) parts mine has went out twice and the dealer has denied the warranty........
ne advice would be helpful...
