Ok, i am sure this has been asked before, and i really did search and couldn't really find what i was looking for. Is it possible to make a 2.3 HO and 2.4L hybrid that is going to be pushing out 180?. If so what is needed?
Thanks

Yeah, but you can't just use the parts from the two engines alone. A lot of people have used the 086 head on the 2.4 block, HO intake manifold, and HO exhaust manifold. Problem is the HO didn't have balance shafts, had higher compression, and a shorter stroke. It also had a specially programmed computer to help with the fuel and spark timing.

ok, so if i looked at getting the header, manifold and cams what kind of results would i be looking at? would it still be turbo safe?

Cams are too lumpy for the stock computer, and the lift is too high, you might have piston clearance issues, but I'm not too well versed in that. You can't use the exhaust manifold if you go turbo. The HO head would raise your compression to like 12:1, which is way too high for boost on stock internals (pistons and rods). You'd spend more money just getting it tuned than you would have if you bought low compression pistons, nice eagle rods, and a good fuel system.
