The 2.4 in my 01 Z24 bit the dust last weekend and I can't find another 2.4 to replace it with. I can get an ecotec for half the price of a 2.4 if I could find one and there are tons of eco's to choose from. My car is a 5 speed and I am wondering what parts I would need to do the swap?
I know that I will need the Ecotec PCM and I'm sure the wiring harness as well, anything else?
P.S I did search and all I could find was people telling people to search so if someone could help me I would really appreciate it thanks.
Ok, well you need a tranny, engine bay wiring, BCM, ECU, motor.
Also the info is out there on the ecotec swap.

motor , trans ,eco clutch , uppermount , engine side harness , pcm and the bcm from the same car
the rest you can use from your car now
forgot the radiator , the hose fitting is in a different , you will need the hoses and lines that go with the eco , except the pwr steering lines
Actually you do not have to have the motor mount, you can use the 2.4 motor mount, and actually the 2.4 mount is better than the stock ecotec mount.
