i just got my front and rear trans mounts yesterday, im going to be installing them either tomarrow or sat, my question is has anyone gotten thiers and installed them yet? I already have the upper and lower motor mounts, i hope these mounts make as much of a difference as those did.

a note, you'll need a press to put the new ones in, I had a press so it wasn't bad, but i'd imagine without one, it would be almost impossible.

When i did mine, I didn't use a press. I placed the just put it some grease inside the metal mount, and carefully placed the bushing on, and then stepped on it, it slipped right in without any problems.

The only hard part to it, was unscrewing and screwing in the rear mount. I had to move around my brake block, and stock air box. Might not, if you have a really long extension for ratchet.

Finally I also had to unscrew the window washer tank to get the bolt on the front mount.

if your good at the wack-a-mole game then you should be able to get the trans bushings in to the mounts , as well as get the old bushing out , just dont forget to unfold the tabs

and do 1 mount at a time , and you shouldnt have any big problems

you can use a vice to push them in

rear one is a pita to get in and out

alright, dosent sound like it should be to bad then, i dont have the lower air box anymore, or a windshield washer tank so that should make it that much easier.do you guys think soap should work to get them to slide in? thats what i used for the upper motor mount.

Honestly, I used some old motor oil I had from an earlier oil change. lol. And with no trouble, I stepped on it, not stomp, but lightly placed my foot on the bushing adjusted it a little and put my weight on it. I only weigh 170lb, so It was easier to do that than to get the rear mount off.

The only reason I had to move the air box was to position the brake block out of the way to get to 1 bolt on the mount.
