i think you lose it when you go to a distributor system, i think the distributior goes in place of the power steering system, but it seems the msd, and nology setups are still distributor less ignitions, so power steering isn't an issue

I guess we'll wait on doing the ignition...seems complicated lol plus her car is bone stock and probably wouldn't make a difference. Tell me if this sounds good. Were gonna get 2.25" pipes with a borla pro xs muffler * i hear they sound decent on the 4cyls.* and than some kind of intake CAI or WAI...still trying to find out what we should put on it. Its a 02' 2.2 Ecotech. Should the exhaust and intake make a noticeable difference?

yes, but the intake type(cai or wai) wont change it

Hypsy did you ever get the kit installed? I'm looking to upgrade my ignition system now and came across this as one of the few practical (Won't lose power steering etc.) options for me. Thanks.

get the MSD. so far Nology has been unwilling to send me an updated kit or a Cam Sync Generator to make their kit work. Im in discussions with MSD right now to make Matt's system a full release kit. Meaning you could get everything needed really easily...might even come with premade spark plug wires

i couldnt prove a gain or a lose with the nology. i kept getting a code for no cam sync. until they can fix that or give me the parts needed to the nology with remain in the garage unused. well mostly...a lot of the bolts and acorn caps are elsewhere on my car at the moment those acorn caps fit perfectly on most of the exposed studs on the motor...and they look much better.

What issues are you having? I want to know what kind of trouble I'm getting myself into before I purchase.
