smoking engine

Hey I was wondering why is my engine smoking when I turn it on. I am currently using a push rod that is thinner than the rest would this affect that? I'm also getting a random missfire code 300. Any ideas.

Thanks in advance

Sal

The car is showing white smoke? Any ideas for this. Mostly down time for the car since I've built it i drove it for maybe a week then my trans driveplate detached. After that the car overheated and burned through a head gasket. Changed that then had problems with the rocker arm studs snapping in half. bought ARP studs no problems. After that snapped my push rod. I posted a pic of the snapped pushrod. Ordered more pushrods but was sent the correct length but wrong thickness. I decided to install the one pushrod anyways. After this the car started to throw white smoke and DTC 300.

thanks in advance

Sal

Sorry for the wrong forum just thought since i've posted most of my cars troubles in here people would be able to recognize it

sounds like you have a real mess there! i'd pull it, and tear it down, and spec EVERYTHING! make sure all the parts are within specs, and i'd mag. your head, (check it for cracks) but what a mess you have there... who did the rebuild? did they know what they were doing? doesn't sound like it...
