I got a question about a header and a resinator
Thursday, April 14, 2005 10:38 PM
I am going to put on a pacesetter header on my 2.4, and i have a catback exhaust. I wanted to know if it is going to sound like crap when i put the header on. I will evently get a high flow cat. Do i need a resinator? I dont want to loose any exhaust loudness, and i know a ressinator will do that. If any one has a sound clip of there exhaust setup without a ressinator please send to my email Cavysprayzthebridge@yahoo.com
Thanks. Later

I originally had no resonator on mine but it was setting off car alarms and was just way too loud. I added in an 18" resonator after, you can just go without at first see how you like it then add one in if you have to.

a resonator will take that buzzing away and it will quiet the car a lil but not too much. the header will add some loudness also. the resonator effect is all up to you. it'll sound deep-pitched and pretty quiet at idle with a resonator.

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.

ugh no cat, image a gas powered weed wacker running at WOT everytime you get above 3,000 RPMS. Thats what your car will sound like.
