Start with your basics. Intake, header, exhaust, motor mounts, throttle body, crank pulley. After that cams, weight reduction, head work, nitrous...

^^^don't be quite so harsh. How about this, if you can't do it with i/h/e/tb and drag radials, THEN sell your car.

i ran a 15.5 w/ an intake so w/ some decent tires and current mods i should be low 15's

intake, cat back exhaust, new pulley, header, motor mount, head work and a 50 shot should get you there i would think, if not try the 75 shot

actually I dont believe that anyone NA has run 14s with an ecotec on street tires so an intake exhuast header or tb alone is going to do it, best ive seen was 15 flat with some aggressive weight reduction certainly not in street trim

Rodimus, someone in my area who is posting on montrealracing.com has run this:

Pontiac Sunfire 1997
Swap ecotec 2.2l 2k3
MODS:

Cold air intake home made
exhaust 2.25
cat high flow 2.25
muffler dynomax 2.25
o2 simulator

TIMES

Reaction: .276
0-60: 2.169
1/8: 9.573
E.T: 14.97
Mph: 91.337

so 14s with bolt-ons is definitely possible.

another guy in my area ran a 15.28 with a 2003 stock cavalier with street tires and full trim.
