You can use the HO valve springs......... I do. Just use your retainers, and the HO 'hats'

or get those....

I havethe 2.2 springs. Very nice i must say. I got them because i thought they were the only ones available, but then again, chromemoly steel is the @!#$z. won't break, thats for sure.

It doesn't say the material for he 2.4 springs specifically, but says "high strength steel"

here's a link to some pics of my 2.2 head with the springs

Couple questions about the springs you are using.. I might be getting some springs I will find out in about a week if I have to. What part number did you use and are all the 2.3 DOHC springs the same??? does anybody have information on lbs/inch??

HP Tuners | Garrett T3/T04B | 2.5" Charge Pipes | 2.5" Downpipe | 650 Injectors | HO Manifold | Addco front/rear | Motor Mounts | HKS SSQV | Spec stage 3 | AEM UEGO Wideband | Team Green LSD | FMIC | 2.3 cams | 2.3 oil pump swap | 280WHP | Now ECOTECED

I think the 2.4 springs are rated at 70# on the seat and the HO springs are 85# or 90# on the seat iirc but I don't rember the open pressures for either of them I just know the HO are stiffer and can handle up to .430" lift.

2000 Z24 5spd header & catback for now.
