header/exhaust

I am getting ready to bring all parts (header, high flow 2.25" cat, resonator, 2.25" catback exhaust) to the exhaust shop for install and have a question. Should i have the header down pipe cut off befor the taper to stay 2.25" from header all the way back?

thats what im gonna do when i get my header i think the taper is only there so you can weld it to stock piping

save yourself some money, install the header yourself, and just drive it to the muffler shop open header! they will charge you and extra 150 or so for header install, and that is so easy!

hell some exhaust shops i've seen won't even install a header because they don't want to deal with a snapped bolt in the head.

I put my header in myself with the help of a good friend and I drove it to the muffler shop and got it welded....they chaged me like $50 bucks off the books..which wasn't too bad. there is just a slight rattle at lower rpms that i can't place....should I ditch the pacesetter muffler and buy like a Magnaflow or somethin?

you DO know that you can install a catback yourself, install a header yourself... right?
