well just as the title says. im due for an oil change in the new few miles. going to swtich to synthetic. any recomendations? its a 2004 ecotec 5 speed.

mobile one, valvoline, redline. I just dont recomend castrol, pennzoil, or any of those somewhat generic brands. Run the exact same wieght you are using right now.

I was told that for your first oil change after conventional oil, you should use a synthetic blend, then the following oil change, go full synthetic to transition. I use Mobil 1 and love it--car runs so smooth

i use castrol Syntec. the stuff made for engines over 75,000.
the Castrol is about $10 cheaper. with Mobil 1 all your doing is paying extra because Nascar put there name on it

Leading Edge Lubricants, i felt a difference of Royal Purple, thats how good this stuff is. I'll never get any other oil.

i got royal purple in my tranny. i love it. btw, the engine has a little over 11k miles.

I run Royal Purple in my engine and will run it in anything else I ever own.
