Has anyone here done a coil swap to a wire setup?...And what parts did you use, im thinking of MSD or accel...if such an animal exists?...

just swap the the MSD Blaster coils. they kick ass.

how do u do that?

take off the spark plug boots, diconect 2 connectors on the coil packs.unbolt the coil packs, bolt up new coil packs. plug in two connectors, re connect plug wire boots... don't think i missed anything...

2.4 coil packs are found where?

2.4s do not have coil packs

I do not know much aboot 2.4s, but I know it is a lil bit more complicated process

Sorry, I should have said 2.4s do not have coil packs that are typically on a vehicle, and the MSD blasters would not work without a conversion on a 2.4

just rock a set of nice plugs.....a power core spark amplifier, ugraded spark boots.....that should do nicely for an ignition system...but i have heard that you can swap the coil packs...$$$ though...but probly worth it...i've also heard msd's power core is real good...pricey but good...still learning about the electrical system on these ld9's...little different than most...but different is original...which is cool....ne way...good luck with your project
