who has cams?

hey guys i have a 99 2200 sunfire with an injen intake obx header magnaflow cat and borla catback and motor mounts. I am interested on purchasing a cam for my fire. Now i have serached and foung some that sell them. I do not plan to go turbo or super but in the future will get port ad polished head with new valves pushrods etc. in other words all motor. Now what cam have people frlt the most compatible with. also is it very hard to do the install myself and what do i have to do to fix the timing issue that i have searched and heared about upon installing the cam. thanks. any suggestion welcome.

hows anyone going to be able to tell you that? what is your expierence level? do you plan to pull the motor to do it? or are you going to "attempt" the strugle of doing a cam swap in the car?

Most major cam manufacturers can grind a cam blank or regrind your original cam. Call Crane Cams Tech Line, ask for Dave Maxwell, or call Comp Cams Cam Help Line. Both have excellent cam profiles to work with.

As for the install, the cam is located in the block. Like SIRK7987 said you'll have to pull the engine or "attempt" to swap in car, through the fender well. If you've got a moderate amount of experience, either method will just be a PITA!
