the 2200 in my sunfire is it the same set up at the 2.4 bc if anything happens to this motor and i have to get a new on i want to put a 2.4 in it wut would i have to change ?

A whole lot of stuff.. Not just the engine would have to be changed.. Talking the pcm, wiring, sensors, etc.. It'd make more sense to buy a used Sunfirre GT.

lol i wish i really wanted a 96-02 Z24 but i found the sunfire. i cant get a new car i just got this one in feb the only way i get a new car is if my moms 96 escort dies i can help it get there lol then i can get another car bc she likes the sunfire. but i was just wondering wut i have to do if i wanted to get a bigger motor im going to hold onto this car for as long as i can i like it. next car cobalt SS lol i wish

well sunfires did come with the 2.4 you know that right?

if you are going to do the swap yourself, you need the engine, tranny, pcm, wiring harness, sensors, i think the gauge cluster. possibly some other items too
and if you want a shop to do it, dont bother. they will charge an arm and a leg to do it

yea i no they did come in a 2.4 but i was driveing a 03 S10 at the time i was looking for a new car and it was breaking down on me and was soo bad on gas i saw this and just bought it the dealer wouldint even take the S10 for a trade lol my bro has it he is going to try and sell it this spring. ill have more time this winter to work on the car i bought a 92 blazer for $400 off a friends for a winter beater so i can park the sunfire in my garage and work on it
