My car does the same thing. It's probably just taking longer for the cat to heat up.

I don't know what year cav you have but a friend of mine told me not to use Bosch sensors and to use the GM sensor. Bosch in not that great in all cars. So i went the the GM ones when i did my header, Cat pipe, and exhaust and not problems.

Get the part numbers from you dealer and go to http://www.gmpartsdirect.com and order it from there, price are almost half.

The # 2 O2 sensor only reads your emissions and doesn't affect the way the car runs, it will throw a CEL though. The #1 O2 only controls the A/F ratio after the motor has warmed up to operating temprature(closed lop mode), till the engine warms up the PCM operates in open loop mode with a fixed A/F map.
I'm thinking it might be a fuel problem. If you haven't changed the fuel filter lately try that first. If you still have problems, check your fuel pressure and go from there.

You dont have anything listed in your profile, so I can't tell you what any other possible problems might be.

Make sure your connections at the battery are clean and tight.Check and see that the ground strap on the head to the block and from the block to the frame is connected and clean.

Got that a bit wrong....

Yes, the rear O2 is only for emissions, but if it throws a CEL, it will send the car into limp mode and it definately will affect the way the car runs.

I had the connector to my #2 O2 come undone and it threw the CEL(code P0140: O2 sensor CRKT No Activity(bank 1 Sensor 2)), but it didn't affect the way the car ran. The #2 O2 is there to make sure you don't tamper with the emissions, i.e. remove the catalitic converter, or make sure the cat is working properly. Sensor #1 will throw you into limp mode, because it controls the A/F ratio.

After my pacesetter header, catco cat, and pacesetter cat-back. i got a cel for bank 2 o2 sensor, found out it only does it if it is really cold out side.
Mine only comes back if i don't let it warm up before i drive it in really cold weather.

my car used to do that when I had a warped head / blown head gasket. check your oil if its watery, coolant and oil are chillin out together, and thats worse than montagues and capulets

I've never heard of an exhaust install having a result like this... and it should definetly make your car faster.

depends on what code is thrown. My car has had a CEL ever since I completely removed my cat and put in an O2 sim... it thinks the heater circuit is malfunctioning, but the car is def not in limp mode

altho if it throws a cat inefficiency code, I could see limp mode being the end result
