I was scowering over Ebay the other day and found this throttle body, I'm familiar with the 62mm bodie's sold by High Rev, I don't know about this though 68mm sounds a little to large, but I'm also not familiar with how these engines will react to a change like this. Also if it does start out at 68mm and tapers back down to stock length will that or will it not negate any gains of having it bored out? Thanks for your time and input
its 68mm at the opening

If you are talking about the BoltOn / Reveco TB, it is my understanding that they use a new plate as well, so you actually do get a wider opening...
is there really any noticeable gains from a larger TB?
is it worth the money?

i have the reveco TB on my Eco. the plate is 60.5mm, the outer opening is 68mm, and the manifold side opening is 62mm, with a nice taper between all the changes. i already had an intake when i installed it, but i did notice a gain. nothing huge but it complimented the intake nicely, gave a bit more pull in the upper RPM range. id say its worth the money all day long.

i notice a very nice gain, but i have a p&p head, bigger valves and stage I cams so i needed more air like that. If you arent heavily modified like boost or what i have, it might be an overkill. If you just have bolt ons i think you will lose low end but gain in the top end.
i had my own bored to 67 opening down to 62 plate and 62 at the manifold
and lost no bottom end and a small gain in the upper rpms, i also have stage 2 cams and intake
04 sunfire auto, mid 15's n/a, and still going
I had the revco on my eco, with my current mods. (Intake, mounts, and 2.25 full exhuast.) I was losing considerable power. It would feel weak all the way until about 4500 and kick in a little. I raced my friend a couple of times with it and didn't pull away from it much at all( a 2002 sunfire with 2200, intake and catback), maybe a car length by 4th. Put the original TB back in and regained a lot of the lost power. I put about 2-3 car lengths on him now by 4th. Overall, would be a great TB if i was going to do bigger mods, but bills are more important things came up so the engine work i wanted( mainly cams and p&p) will not happen. I sold the TB to a fellow JB member, saturnd00d.

I've been thinking of getting a bigger TB, I have an Intake and WeaponR header, highflow cat and exhaust on my Eco, So do you guys think this would help or hurt my performance...?
if that is all you are doing, it will be an overkill. BUT if you are going to add boost or p&p and cams then you will need it.
Cool, kinda figured that.. Oh well maybe in a year or so.. Thanks
Deepest Blue, I installed the T/B last night, and I didn't feel a loss in the lower end at all. I did gain a slight pull around the 3,500 RPM mark though. The car feels a bit stronger now. Thanks for the T/B.
