Me and my buddy put a turbo on his 99 2200 cavi. well he was drunk and let it over heat and blew a head gasket. (when u turn the motor over it shots water out of the head bolts). Well he wants to do and ecotec swap. and i am telling him he should just build the motor he has. My question is which would be better? How much more power would eco make than the 2200 if we were to put 3000 into each motor? Thanks

you could get the stage one hahn racecraft kit w/ that not sure of gain #'s from that
or you can build it for na which is the road less traveled

about how long does it take to change a head gasket on his cavi.
he may already have fd up more than just the gasket
personally id get a 2.0T saab 9-3 and then call hahn..

Ok so i pull the head off. every thing looks ok. (no aparent cracks. and dont apear to be warped). Any suggestions on a head gasket? or any other tips or things i could do while i have it apart?
