does anyone manufacture a baffled oil pan for the Ecotec engine?
-Chris
you do
i know the oil pan for the 2.4eco (same block)
out later this year is good for 1-g cornering
Hey, i'm interested enough, to try and make mine into one in the next week and a half before my motor goes on. chris, hit me up on aim. I can take the oil pan off tomorrow, and try to weld in some baffels. that won't interfer with the pump or crank. That should be the only two things to worry about.
This might help:
22912 Uni-Directional Windage Tray Screen, 23" x 16". Universal Application

You would have to weld your own studs to fit the sreeen or weld it in the pan.
You can also make your own crank scraper with a piece of sheet steel welded in the pan. baffles and trap doors wouldn't be too hard for someone who does their own fabrication work. Just make sure you maintain 0.100" clearance from any moving parts.
Been contemplating doing one myself!
I have worked with the moroso screen for a windage tray. Works very well, just tig weld in some aluminum pieces in the stock pan. Drill and tap some holes. The lock tite the bolts into the mounts. Any Q's email me.

why not rivet it instead of weld and bolt
you would still have to weld, but instead of bolt you could rivit.
