4-2-1 vs. 4-1 Header
Wednesday, April 06, 2005 7:29 AM
Call me stupid or whatever you want, but what are the advantages/disadvantages to each of these headers. I have a 04 LS Sport with AEM C.A.I., high flow cat, magnaflow dual, RKSport underdrive. Which header is going to give me the best overall performace with my set up?

4-1 header offers better upper-end gains while the 4-2-1 header gives more low-end torque. i have the OBX 4-2-1 stainless on my 2.2 and absolutely love it. i recommend it to all the J owners.

If you have an automatic then id go with a 4-2-1.

same here, I also removed my whole stock exhaust system in favor of a very high flowing one and didn't notice evan a slight drop in the low end but a big gain in the high
OHV have lots of low end, and this header didn't make me lose any just made the high end that much funner

This is pretty much an opinion question it seems, no one has any complaints about a
4-2-1 or a 4-1, because it seems to me that they are virtually equal.
