weld. With clamps you have a bigger chance of leaks which is not cool for performance

yeah that's what i was thinking...especially when you're starting with a 2200, any leaks would kill it...although there isn't much to kill

Guy where I live had one welded on his car, but never paid the guy to do it, so the guy showed up one night and cut the muffler off and took it back My buddy now owns the muffler.

Weld it. Mine leaked like crazy before I welded it. The leaks make it sound awful. There's actual still a leak somewhere even after welding it. ??? Not sure where. But, yes, definitely weld it.

I would like to weld mine but the stainless is pretty hard stuff to do. Guess I will have to take it to someone good.

if you have a welder than your good to go, but if you don't and you need someone else to weld it up for you like a shop ...etc. then i'd put at least 2 flanges in there just incase you need to take it down or a part of it down inorder to do install/repair something..if you fit flanges with gaskets correctly, i highly doubt there will be a leak, and your prepared for any faults to happen in the future
