now, on a older post, people said to hook into this wire:

ok, the problem is, i still cant get it to work...im assuming because the wire people said to hook ino in that pic was a trigger wire for the ECU, and the tach adapter needs a coil voltage wire. or perhaps i needed to cut the pink wire, hook one end of it to the solid red wire of the MSD box, and the other green and red wire to the other end of the pink wire??? im confused cause so far i have had no luck getting this to work.
hoping someone remembers how they did this so i can finally get my shiftlight working. thanks!!!!

what i did on my 2.4 was went into the fuse box and taped into the fuse marked Tach. Weather or not u have a fuse in there tap into it, then make sure ure set on 4 cylinder.....
works great for me....
Dave
why do you need a tach adaptor?
my tach worked fine... it was programmable from 1-12 cylinders.....
course it was stolen LOL

never mind, dauber was in chat, for those of you setting this up, you have to cut the pink wire, and the green and red from the adapter goes to the end by the valve cover, and the red wire from the adapter goes to the pink wire from the loom.
i have a stock tach and wish to use a adjustable shift light, so an adapter is needed.

i dont have any webspace, i should buy some when i get some cash.
