both mounts broken?

both my engine mounts were broken i got the new insert in the top and the bottom the bolt was broken off....could this be the reason my car felt laggish at low rpms?

it probably will since there would be more movemnet of the engine. How the hell did that happenn anyways. rust?

I'm a bit confused by your original post. Your top engine mount was busted, so you bought the aftermarket insert? That's not going to fix things for you.

its takes ALOT of abuse to beak a mount on a jbody. maybe the former owner was runnin slicks and spray.

i dunno the top one was loose....but i think all my problems were in the bottom mount and i never realized. Im still working on the bottom one,.

probably didnt tighten them all the way or something.

Dont know what you have on your engine... but it must be a beast with torque... i havent broken mine yet and i really push the engine hard off the line...
