I am just wondering what is the best motor swap for a 1997 sunfire I have a 2.2 OHV right now and I want to know what is the best motor swap to go with? and also an other question is that how hard is it to swap a 5sp into the sunfire with a stock automatic tranny in it.
I'm a Twin Cam/Quad 4 guy............ BUT..... I do have a full EcoTec swap sitting here...... w/ a 5 speed
Swapping from a auto to 5 speed is a piece of cake, as long as you get all the parts.

I've done one auto - 5 speed swap (4 speed to Getrag) and it went pretty easily.
