catco cat Question
Sunday, March 20, 2005 5:28 PM
I got a decent deal on a Catco High flow cat. When i went to pick it up I realized it didnt have the o2 bung built in. I was wondering if it would be easier to just sell it and order (94035) the cat from Magnaflow with the o2 bung built in or just have an exhaust shop weld on in. I dont really know what I should do.

you drill a hole in the pipe right after the cat and weld in a bung there thats the way the stock is set up

i can weld in the bung and do all that myself on last question is where do you get a bung? I guess if i am asking that then i am a retard. Can you just go to an AutoZone or something like that and pick one up and if so what size?

good luck trying to find the nut at a hardware store. you need a M18x1.5 nut. most hardware stores stop at M16. NOTE THAT THIS IS A METRIC THREAD! DO NOT PUT A STANDARD NUT THERE. I'll have some pics of my new exhaust shortly. We found the right nut a welded it in after drilling a hole in the pipe. Easy really. If you really need a bung you can get them from Summit and Jegs

yeah i know but I already bought this cat from a friend and really didnt even think about it not having a bung until i got it back home. I could just sell it and buy another one but i think it would be easier to just have a shop weld one in. Thanks for all the help.
