I have a 2002 cavalier LS coupe w/ 2200 2.2L. I am looking for a 4-2-1 header. Every company I've seen (including DC Sport, RK Sport), Weapon-R only make 4-1 header. Does anyone know of 4-2-1 header for my car?
im taking it you have an ecotec. Weapon R's header is a 4-2-1 header....i just installed it on my 03. Plus rksports is also a 4-2-1. Pacesetter and dc are 4-1
I have a 2.2L 2200 ohv, that is not an ecotec. Also ecotec started in 2003, mine is 2002.
actually the Ecotec started in 02. late in 02 but started in 02 none the less

You could get an ecotec in some models of the 2002 year. My 2002 Sunfire has the Ecotec.

i think the only 4-2-1 that you will find is from rk, also the ecotec came about in 2002, about halfway through
well anyway in his original opst he said he has a 2200
but anywho
the only place i know of is rksport but i dont know if its for the 2200
im pretty sure i remember seeing a 4-2-1 by pacesetter but it was only in the black paint finish so i opted not to get it.

i put the pace setter on and its a 4-1 and its a bithch to put in .the "black" paint is still burning off and it leaks where it conects to the mid pipe.and i had to have it welded to the stock pipe cause the stock pipe is too small for the suplied clamp
the pacesetter for the 2200 is a 4-1. same goes for the rksport header. the rksport ecotec and 2.4l headers are 4-2-1 but not the 2200. don't understand why they did that. don't worry i'm in the same boat as you. looking for a 4-2-1 for the 2200 and having no luck.

Look on Ebay. there are 4-2-1 headers for the 2200 up there now. OBX and DC Sports according to the listings
Pacestter had a 4-2-1 header for the 2200 but stopped making it. Dont know why. I got mine off Ebay. Megan racing also makes a 4-2-1 header for the 2200.

Bill's Iperformance makes a 4-2-1 tri-y header for the 2200. Only drawback is the cost due to the addition of a high-flow cat with every kit. Pushes the cost up a bit.

A more accurate observation has never been typed. These should be the starting points before any serious performance modification. What's the point of making a serious performer if you can't control it's power?

obx headers
the 95-97 2.2 header is 4-2-1
the 98+ 2200 2.2 header is 4-1
i have a 2200 with the 4-2-1 and it is a bad fit! I hade to make my oen down pipe. I bought the 4-1 that is meant for the newer 2.2's now.
I say that Bill's header, and it is extremely overpriced. I think I'm just gonna give up and get the 4-1 header. Thanks for all the help.
