i am trying to remove it and i cannot find the last who knows how many bolts. any help would rock. Also can I remove the cyl head without taking off the intake manifold. I have the TB off the IM just didnt wanna remove it until the head was off.

i dont know if you can take it off with out removing the intake man....

if i remember correctly there was a total of 10 bolts that hold the head and yes u can remove the head with the i/manifold. Im still not sure about the head bolt,cause im alwayz fadded when working on my car or doing anything thats why i say "if i remember correctly"

okay, sooo, there are 4 bolts under the lifters. Also like 8-10 around the base. Dont forget to remove the powewr steering pump AND jack the motor up BECAUSE you have to remove the top motor mount bolts. BLAM!

correct about the jacking of the engine, i didnt do taht, i took out the mount bolts and the engine dropped down about 7 inches, scared the crap out of me, luckly it was in a hoist, so all i did was hoist it up, put some blocks under it, and let the lift back down. but the answer to ur quesition is taht u dont HAVE to take the intake mani off, but it makes it easier, and it really isnt that hard to do. mine was a 95 2.2, im not sure if taking the head off would be the same, but probably quite similar.
