i had put 2 accel coil packs on my 99 22oo, and it seems that after a while they went bad. i had them both replaced thru the waranty, and anotehr one wnet within 3 weeks. any advice or ideas on this?

i just put my accel coils packs, accel wires, and ac delco platnium plugs on, it helped my rough idle cuz of my motor mount vib but i hope they dont go bad. what did they do when they went bad. how did you notice it.
well i came out one day to a total missfire oneday, i researched it and got it replaced... then a few weeks later another coil did the same
jsut mroe or less a spuratic miss.

it seems to have comeouta nowere... like overnight, not while im driving and then bam! it was a get up for class and wtf??good luck with them, i should be getting my replacement soon, the guys at accel were very nice and helpful, and all you gotta do is email them with your situation and they get right back to you. also, keep a copy of the recipts, you will need it. keep them for everything, if you dont got them you cant get a replacement. but yea anyways, good luck man!

Oh s*it that means I'm not the only one that has got a bad accell coil? I just put the GM ones one the other day due to a misfire in cylinder one! I sent mine back to Howell Automotive where I bought it from and they claim they will replace it. I don't have the receipt anymore though and from the sounds of it I will just run the stock coils for now.
anyone ever have a problem with the MSD coil packs?
make very sure that the boots are pushed all the way down. an arch of electricity between posts will cause you no end of trouble. you should also check to make sure that none of your plug wires got fried, sometime it will jump the gap and sometime not and cause problems.

thats what u get for going with accel . seems more people have problems with them then success . get msd ones or stay stock . accel sucks
