hesitation

Heres the problem. I recently took my turbo off my 1996 2.2 cav to start working on a all motor project. Now when i give it gas there is alot of hesitation. Its like when i give it gas the car just jerks and bogs down forever unless i floor it and then it finally stops. What could the problem be. Should i do a tune-up and change my plugs and wires etc. I need advice it never did this before until i did i took the turbo off. Did the turbo project screw my car up. I wasn't the type to race and gun it all the time plus the car is not a daily driver so the turbo had about 250 miles on the car and that was it. Please help?

uhhh... are you running rich? When you had your turbo on did you upgrade your fuel system to deliver more fuel? If so then you may be giving it too much gas and no enough O2

I took all my fuel mods off. I am back running stock fuel system. I am stumped i meen my car will barely go. And i can't figure it out. I don't want to go to shop and let them figure it out because they will charge me an arm and a leg. I would like to go and say this is problem fix it or or i can possibly fix it.

you catalytic converter probably crapped out. Mines did that last week from running rich for a long time. only got 47,000 miles on it. Way you can tell if its the cat: compression check or rev up the engine and have some listen to the cat and see if its making noises, or if you smell rotten eggs out the exhaust.
