how woul di go about removing the black sfi unit on the top of the engine. and since i would removed it what do i put where the hole is with that black tube. if any1 understands let me know
I assume you are talking about a 2.2 liter, since you said SFI. It sactually very simple remove the black tube leading to the air box, look at the base of the sfi box, you will see a hose clamp, loosen it and pull it off. Replace with the intake of your choice, have fun.
i already have a aftermarket intake attatched to the black MAF box which states SFI, i was wanting to remove that off the top of the engine and take it off completly.
Well, if you have a cold air extension it connects to the 'sfi 'box', if you have an aem or something similar it should connect directly to the TB.
well i dont know the make of the intake i picked up like 2 years ago, its looks like it was custom made...i removed the stock air box and tube put that directly connected to the SFI black unit on the top..i want to remove that b/c its ugly and i want it out. i just dont know how to remove it and the little black tube is connected to the top of the head.
