oh ya, if u r setting the cruise control for an extended drive, is it ok to have the revs lower than 2000? say 1800 or so. i don't want to cruise at around 3000 in 4th, cause i think it's bad for the engine.

Is it?

thanks!

yes, you won't hurt anything by keeping it below 2K revs.

my engine has 323,000km's on it and still going strong. Decent mileage as well even shifting at the higher rate. Not bad for an old bucket 2.2ohv

I just make sure to keep my coolant topped and change the oil and filter at regular intervals. Only thing that bugs me is the valvetrain chatter due to old lifters and those stamped factory rockers (which will be replaced soon enough)
