OBD II question. Real easy

hey i know its on here somewhere but i dont have time to look right now. anyways just wondering the ecotec motor has the OBD II in it right? i am gonna get some cams but wanna get a scanner before i install them and just wanna make sure i get the right ones. Thanks guys

Hopefully you wont ever need to use it, not everyone has fared so well with cams on an eco unless they are a very mild grind, anything agressive or alot of supporting mods tend to throw misfire codes, you may even want to consider another mod in place of the cams for the money

um im trading a system for it. im gonna get the scanner so i can clear the codes when they pop up.

I get the running to rich codes all the time with my cams and just last week after two months (7000 miles) my cat went kaput. 47,000 miles on the car

have you checked your scan tool data to see if your o2 is osculates correctly?
In theory o2 should be able to adjust fuel, stock cames or not what does you fuel trim read?
