Is it worth getting a header for a 97 z24 without an aftermarket exhaust? I plan to get the exhaust just not yet. And how hard is it to install a header on a z24?

when doing an exhaust its easier to work your back the up, if youcan't do it all at once I'd go with the header, then the cat, then the cat back, I did mine started with the catback... exhaust fit PERFECT then doing the rest of the exhaust in front of the cat back messe dup the alignment of the catback, doesn't quite sit right anymore
cool, thanks man

bit of topic..but what kind of header do u plan on getting? im still tryin to decide on a 4-1 or 4-2-1 style.
4-2-1 will give you more mid range, 4-1 will give you more top end, personally I went with 4-2-1 cause its street car, I'd rather how power the full rpm range, not that its really gonna make that much of a difference
We have a lot of pacesetter headers in stock. just email me, all pacesetters are 4-1 design.

Well there was a 4-1 posted in the regional forums, ohio, but I guess its sold now. I was planning on getting it today if it was still available because it was cheap.
