Timing Chain Housing Removal
Saturday, March 12, 2005 6:34 PM
I just pulled my engine. Wife's gonna love the fact that it is sitting in the driveway. But, I'm in a bind now. I removed all the bolts on the timing chain cover and pulled out the chain and stuff. Now I'm trying to remove the housing. All bolts are off. Why is it still stuck. I don't want to break it so someone can point me in a direction I'll be happy.

Thanks all.

it was the same way pulling it off on my eco (I don't know what you have) but bolts out and everythign it wouldn't come off, the gaskest holds in place very well, gently pry all aorund te cover and it will let go, you might be surprised how much force it takes for it to let go but it will

Thanks... I'll try it. I'm just so scared I'm gonna break it.

Thanks again. I'll keep this post updated on how it's going.
