I was wondering if anyone had any problems with their pace setter 4 into 1 header, or if its was as easy as boting it on and cutting the stock pipe to length and fitting the down pipe over it and then clamping it...
i just got my resonator cut off like a month ago and ive been reading and most people want a resonator after they get the header. What the hell for?
you want a resonator to give you a less raspy sound when you get a larger exhaust you will need something so the noise doesn't drive you out of your skull. as long as your resonator has the same inside diameter as your new exhaust pipe then your cool, it will not restrict flow as long as you gt the type that has been described in about 20 or more posts. cherry bombs and purple hornies are good ones to go with and can be ordered at most auto stores. they were originally for the 50's hot rods.
also something to think about is this i know a guy who decided it was a good idea to make a straight through exhaust with nothing but a cheap muffler and the header. he lost power and the car sounds really bad, and he thinks its great...each to their own. good luck.
the install is pretty straight foward
once the header is on and the down pipe supplied with the header are installed , you will know where to measure and cut the stock pipe
resonater is definatly needed, i never got one put on my 97 2.2 and i sold the car before i got it put on. it souned like sheet. same exhaust setup on this eco, way deeper and WAY better sounding, no rasp.

I've had many problems after installing the header.........havn't figured it out completely, but I've given up. I decided to live with it.
follow the directions cut it about 2in aft of the hanger on the stock downpipe...that is the hardest part of the install...unless you have a saw-zaw... :-)
